Concerts in New Jersey: The Biggest Concerts Coming in Summer 2023

If you want to get into the biggest and best concerts in New Jersey this summer, then you should definitely start planning now!

After a few summers without live music, my family and I are so excited to see our favorite artists in person again. Tons of concerts have been announced in and around the New Jersey area, but I’ve pulled some that I’d consider must-see shows:

  • May 26-28: Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour

  • June 10-11: Ed Sheeran | +-=÷x Tour

  • July 29-30: Beyoncé | The Renaissance World Tour

  • August 23-24: Madonna | The Celebration Tour

  • August 30, September 1 & 3: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band

Keep reading for more information on upcoming concerts at MetLife Stadium, parking guides,  and some tips on what to do and what not to do to prepare for the concert!

Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour

Unless you’ve been avoiding social media this year, I’m sure you are aware that Taylor Swift is going on tour this summer... And she’s coming to East Rutherford, New Jersey, for three nights in a row!

Don’t get me started on the disaster that was trying to get tickets from Ticketmaster! I experienced firsthand just how difficult the entire process was. From waiting in the queue for hours on hours to sadly being left empty handed after the fiasco.

Each night will feature different special guest openers. You may still be able to get tickets to one of three dates at MetLife Stadium:

Not only will she perform hits from her latest album, “Midnights”, but she’ll be opening up the time capsule of her older hits, too! I’m sure we can expect plenty of additional surprises.

Ed Sheeran | +-=÷x Tour

Similar to Taylor Swift’s tour, Ed Sheeran will also be performing hits from every album! His new album, “Subtract” or “-”, is coming out on May 5, 2023, so there will be plenty of new music to look forward to hearing at the concert!

You’ll have two chances to see Ed Sheeran at MetLife Stadium in June, joined by Khalid and Dylan

  • Friday, June 29

  • Saturday, June 11

Beyoncé | The Renaissance World Tour

Beyoncé is setting off on her highly-anticipated world tour – her first tour since 2016! She’ll be performing her Grammy-winning album “RENAISSANCE”, but I’m sure we can expect to hear some of her greatest hits.

If you haven’t gotten your tickets already, here are the two dates to see Queen Bey at MetLife Stadium:

  • Friday, July 29

  • Saturday, July 30

Beyoncé, like Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen, received such high demand from NJ fans, that she added a second stop in East Rutherford!

Madonna | The Celebration Tour

I can’t begin to say how excited I am to see Madonna – she’s been one of my favorite artists for forever, so I am beyond ready to sing my heart out!

The Celebration Tour will feature nearly her entire music catalog from the past four decades. Personally, I don’t know which era I’m looking forward to seeing most, but I have seen that her most iconic moments and outfits will be included... Yes, I’m talking about the Jean-Paul Gaultier cone-bra corset she wore on the 1990 Blonde Ambition World Tour!

If you can secure tickets to one of her shows at Madison Square Garden, then you’re one of the lucky ones! This tour, specifically, is paying respect to the city of New York, where her career began. Here are the two dates:

  • Wednesday, August 23

  • Thursday, August 24

Bob the Drag Queen, also known as Caldwell Tidicue, will be a special guest on all dates, which will definitely be an amazing addition! If you’re a fan of RuPaul’s Drag Race, then you’ll know Bob the Drag Queen as the hilarious, talented winner of season 8. They even have performances inspired by Madonna, which I’m hoping to see!

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band

One of my longtime favorite artists and New Jersey native Bruce Springsteen, accompanied by The E Street Band, is closing out the summertime concerts!

Scheduled throughout the week, we have three chances to catch his latest world tour at MetLife Stadium:

  • Wednesday, August 30

  • Friday, September 1

  • Sunday, September 3

The tour has already started, and I have heard that it is a stellar experience. I’m sure the New Jersey concerts will be the best of the best from The Boss!

What to Know Before Going to MetLife Stadium

It’s happened to me before: you walk all the way to the stadium, only for the security guards to say that your purse is too large to bring in! Let me save you the walk back to the car with a few helpful tips to know before going to MetLife Stadium – here’s what you can bring in:

  1. Clear bags that are 12” x 6” x 12” or less in size (only 1 bag per person)

  2. Small purses and handbags that are 4.5” x 6.5” or less in size (only 1 per person)

  3. Reusable water bottles (both plastic and aluminum), but they have to be empty when entering

MetLife Stadium Parking Guide

For most of these concerts (especially Taylor Swift and Beyoncé), I would recommend getting there as early as possible for your own convenience! Here are some more tips:

  1. Parking typically opens around 1:30 PM for 6:00 PM concerts

  2. You can pay fixed parking rates for your vehicle, no parking permit needed. For cars, it’s normally around $40 to park

  3. Uber and Lyft pick-up and drop-off zones are available in Lot E, right outside the Verizon Gate

If you like to prepare ahead of time, like me, here’s more about the MetLife Stadium’s policies.

Regardless of your music preference, there are so many amazing concerts coming to the New Jersey area this summer!
